Freeport Bagi Dividen Rp24 Trilyun, Untuk Indonesiatangal 11-5-2014

Di AS, Freeport bagikan dividen US$ 2,19 miliar (Rp 24,9 triliun). Tapi di RI tidak membagi dividen. Padahal, dari belasan anak usaha mereka, hanya PT Freeport Indonesia yang pendapatan dan labanya naik.
Freeport McMoran membagikan dividen US$ 2,25 per saham atau total US$ 2,19 miliar. Nominal tersebut jika dirupiahkan setara dengan Rp 24,9 triliun (kurs Rp 11.400/US$).
Tahun buku 2013, perusahaan raksasa tambang asal Amerika Serikat (AS) tersebut mampu membagikan sekitar 84 persen dari total labanya buat para pemegang saham mereka di bursa saham Wall Street, New York. Pembagian dividen akan dimulai pada awal Mei 2014.
Asal tahu saja, pembagian dividen Freeport di AS ini merupakan yang terbesar dalam tiga tahun terakhir. Padahal, secara keseluruhan pendapatan dan laba belasan anak usaha Freeport mencatat kinerja buruk di 2013.
Hanya PT Freeport Indonesia yang pendapatan dan labanya naik. Pendapatan PT Freeport Indonesia di 2012 mencapai US$ 4,1 miliar menjadi US$ 4,4 miliar di 2013. Sedangkan laba kotor dari US$ 1,3 miliar di 2012 menjadi US$ 1,5 miliar di tahun lalu.
Namun justru di Indonesia yang tidak ada pembagian dividen. Entah di negara-negara lokasi tambang Freeport lainnya, apakah bernasib sama dengan Indonesia atau tidak.
Rozik B Soetjipto, Presdir PT Freeport Indonesia, seperti dikutip dari Kontan, Kamis (17/4/14), mengatakan, selain Indonesia, tambang Freeport antara lain ada di Peru, Amerika Utara dan Afrika.
Alasan Freeport tidak membagikan dividen di Indonesia karena laba perseroan digunakan untuk investasi proyek baru. Proyek tersebut membutuhkan biaya US$ 1 miliar per tahun. “Lihat saja, investasi kami di 2013 lalu sebesar US$ 1,03 miliar. Bandingkan dengan keuntungan kami,” kata Rozik kepada Kontan.
Sebelumnya, MS Hidayat, Menteri Perindustrian, juga menganggap wajar jika Freeport tidak menyetor dividen ke RI. Keputusan tidak membagi dividen ini sudah disepakati saat RUPS (Rapat Umum Pemegang Saham), yang juga direstui perwakilan pemerintah. Dalam hal ini pastilah pihak dari Kementerian BUMN  yang hadir mewakili.
“Dalam RUPS mereka ada porsi pemerintah Indonesia. Saya tidak tahu siapa yang mewakili Indonesia dalam RUPS, tapi bisa ditanyakan,” kata MS Hidayat.
Untuk diketahui, meski bukan BUMN, Pemerintah RI memiliki saham sebesar 9,34 persen di Freeport Indonesia. Sejak dua tahun terakhir, Freeport tidak menyetor dividen ke pemerintah.
